Regular Season Round 23: Valencia - Cadi La Seu 75-50
Date: March 2, 2022
Rather predictable result when second ranked Valencia (19-4) rolled over at home 5th ranked Cadi La Seu (13-7) 75-50 on Wednesday. Valencia forced 22 Cadi La Seu turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for the former international swingman Queralt Casas (177-1992) who led the winners and scored 14 points and 6 rebounds. Power forward Iciar German (185-1986) accounted for 10 points for the winning side. American center Jewel Tunstull (190-1992, college: Northeastern) came up with 12 points and 8 rebounds and the former international Irati Etxarri (187-1998) added 5 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Cadi La Seu in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Valencia. They maintain second place with 19-4 record having just one point less than leader Avenida. Loser Cadi La Seu dropped to the fourth position with seven games lost. Valencia will meet Zaragoza (#5) on the road in the next round. Cadi La Seu will play against Leganes and hope to secure a win.
