Regular Season Round 27: Krosno - Koszalin 64-82

There was a small surprise when fourteenth ranked Zak (10-15) beat on the road 12th ranked Krosno (10-15) 82-64 on Wednesday. Zak dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Krosno's 38. Zak forced 19 Krosno turnovers and outrebounded them 36-22 including 23 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was naturalized American center Darrell Harris (208-1984, college: URI) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. Guard Marcin Tomaszewski (193-1998) chipped in 19 points and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Roman Janik (184-1995) who recorded 20 points and Dariusz Oczkowicz (182-1981) added 16 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Zak moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with defeated Krosno. Zak will meet at home higher ranked Lublin 2 (#8) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Krosno will play against Turow (#17) in Zgorzelec and hope to secure a win.
