There was a small surprise in Sauoarkrokur where seventh ranked Tindastoll (9-8) beat 5th ranked Stjarnan (10-8) 94-88 on Friday. Stjarnan was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Tindastoll looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The former international point guard Sigtryggur Bjornsson (180-1993, college: St.Mary's, agency: Duran International) scored 22 points and 8 assists to lead the charge for the winners and British-Irish forward Taiwo Badmus (201-1993, college: UVA Wise) chipped in 20 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Four Tindastoll players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American point guard Robert Turner III (193-1993, college: Texas Tech, agency: Interperformances) with 28 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists and Slovenian forward David Gabrovsek (204-1994, college: MBU) scored 21 points.
