There was a minor upset when 14th ranked Nanterre (5-14) was edged on the road by sixteenth ranked Gravelines (5-16) 68-67 on Friday. The best player for the winners was swingman Fabien Damase (200-2002) who scored 19 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Zati Loubaki (200-2004) chipped in 12 points and 7 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Samuel Eyango-Dingo (206-2001) who recorded 22 points and Jules Bravin (202-2001) added 13 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Gravelines maintains sixteenth place with 5-16 record. Loser Nanterre dropped to the fifteenth position with 14 games lost. Gravelines will meet at home higher ranked Le Mans (#12) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Nanterre will play against the league's second-placed Cholet where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
