There was an upset when higher ranked JSF Nanterre (11-10) was defeated on the road by twelfth ranked Gravelines-Dunkerque (10-11) 87-83 on Friday. Cameroonian forward Kenny Kadji (211-1988, college: Miami, FL, agency: Slash Sports) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and American guard John Jenkins (193-1991, college: Vanderbilt) chipped in 20 points and 5 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American guard Nick Johnson (191-1992, college: Arizona) with 18 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists and the other American import forward Thomas Wimbush (201-1993, college: Fairmont St.) scored 20 points and 8 rebounds. Five Gravelines-Dunkerque and four JSF Nanterre players scored in double figures. Gravelines-Dunkerque moved-up to tenth place. JSF Nanterre lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth position with ten games lost. They share it with Limoges CSP. Gravelines-Dunkerque will meet at home higher ranked Le Mans (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. JSF Nanterre will play against Cholet Basket (#13) and hope to secure a win.
