Regular Season Round 21: LCC Tarp. - Neptunas 31-102

The most interesting game of round 21 was a derby match between two teams from Lithuania. The game took place in Klaipeda where third ranked Neptunas outleveled host LCC Tarp. (0-22) 102-31. The game without a history. Neptunas led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding LCC Tarp. to just 4 points in fourth quarter and to 12 points in second half. Neptunas held LCC Tarp. to an opponent 23.4 percent shooting from the field compared to 50.6 percent accuracy of the winners. Neptunas forced 33 LCC Tarp. turnovers and outrebounded them 44-29 including a 18-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 36 assists comparing to just 5 passes made by LCC Tarp.'s players. The best player for the winners was American point guard Savannah Plentovich (172-1998, college: Gardner-Webb, agency: Interperformances) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Lithuanian Ligita Tamutyte (177-1999) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points, 13 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Five Neptunas players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Auste Jureviciute (173-2004) who recorded 7 points and Ukrainian forward Kateryna Dike (190-2004) added 4 points and 8 rebounds respectively. LCC Tarp.'s coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Neptunas maintains third place with 14-4 record having twelve points less than leader RSU 2. LCC Tarp. at the other side still closes the standings with 22 games lost.
