The game between closely ranked teams ended with 11th ranked Dinamo's (1-11) road loss to tenth ranked Cactus (4-8) 60-97 on Friday. The game without a history. Cactus led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. Cactus looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Dinamo's players. The best player for the winners was American forward Derick Newton (198-1995, college: Stetson) who scored 29 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). His fellow American import guard Denzel Livingston (193-1993, college: UIW) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Cactus players scored in double figures. Cactus' coach Irakli Khoshtaria felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American swingman Josh Treadwell (196-1993, college: Coppin St.) who recorded 11 points and 5 assists and forward Anzori Nadiradze (202-2001, agency: BIG) added 13 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Cactus moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Tskhum-Abkhazeti. Dinamo lost tenth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 11 games lost. Cactus' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Tbilisi to the arena Vera.
