The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Split (17-4) at the home court on Friday night. Hosts were defeated by tenth ranked Alkar (7-15) 87-78. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Split. Alkar looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Patrick McGlynn (188-1992, college: URI, agency: GoEmpire Group) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 7 assists. Guard Roko Gizdavcic (191-2001) contributed with 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Alkar players scored in double figures. American Shannon Shorter (193-1989, college: N.Texas) replied with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 12 rebounds, 7 assists and 6 steals and international guard Toni Perkovic (191-1998) added 16 points in the effort for Split. Split's coach Srdjan Subotic rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Alkar moved-up to ninth place. Split at the other side still keeps top position with four games lost.
