Regular Season Round 22: IK Eos - Ostersund 65-79

Everything went according to plan in Lund where third ranked Ostersund (17-6) won against 9th ranked IK Eos (8-14) 79-65. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Elena Popkey (167-1994, college: Oakland) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points, 15 rebounds and 7 assists. The other American import forward Mehryn Kraker (183-1994, college: Green Bay) contributed with 17 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four Ostersund players scored in double figures. American guard Doniyah Cliney (182-1996, college: S.Carolina) replied with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 13 rebounds and Danish forward Laura Ziegler (186-2002) added 19 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for IK Eos. Ostersund have a solid four-game winning streak. Newly promoted Ostersund maintains third position with 17-6 record having three points less than leader Lulea Basket. IK Eos lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with 14 games lost. Ostersund will play against league's second-placed Dolphins in Norrkoping in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. IK Eos will play on the road against Uppsala (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
