Regular Season Round 23: L'Hospitalet - Igualada 76-71

Everything went according to plan when first ranked L'Hospitalet (16-2) defeated at home 3rd placed Igualada (11-5) 76-71 on Saturday. It was an exceptional evening for power forward Ivan Garcia (206-1986) who led the winners and scored 24 points and 5 rebounds. Chadian center Placide Nakidjim (205-1994) accounted for 15 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. Forward Nil Baques (195-1998) came up with 12 points and 6 rebounds and power forward Roger Perez (203-1996) added 11 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Igualada in the defeat. Four Igualada players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for L'Hospitalet. They maintain first place in Group C-2 with 16-2 record. Loser Igualada keeps the third position with five games lost. L'Hospitalet will meet Joventut 2 (#6) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Igualada will play against Martorell and hope to secure a win.
