Regular Season Round 23: Novaschool - CAM E.Soler 2 55-76

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 8th ranked Novaschool (8-11) was outleveled by ninth ranked CAM E.Soler 2 (8-10) in Malaga 76-55 on Saturday. It was an exceptional evening for center Javier Gonzalez (207-1992) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 15 rebounds. Swedish forward Olle Stumer (203-2000, agency: Global Sports Basketball) accounted for 15 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. American Alex Jackson (200-1984, college: UMSL) came up with 10 points and 6 rebounds and center Anastasio Vazquez (204-1992) added 7 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Novaschool in the defeat. Novaschool's coach Francis Trujillo gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. CAM E.Soler 2 moved-up to eighth place in Group D-A. Loser Novaschool dropped to the ninth position with 11 games lost. CAM E.Soler 2 will meet at home higher ranked Estepona (#7) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Novaschool will play against La Zubia and hope to secure a win.
