Very predictable result when second ranked Unicaja-Andalucia (13-4) won against 10th ranked Jaen (6-11) in Malaga 100-92 on Saturday. Unicaja-Andalucia shot the lights out from three sinking 20 long-distance shots on high 52.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was an exceptional evening for Javier Luque (-2004) who led the winners and scored 29 points and 6 assists. Forward Ruben Vicente (200-2005) accounted for 20 points for the winning side. Forward Javier Santabarbara (197-1995) came up with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 12 rebounds and guard Francisco Ramirez (184-1987) added 18 points and 5 steals respectively for Jaen in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the fifteenth consecutive win for Unicaja-Andalucia. They maintain second place in Group D-B with 13-4 record having six points less than leader Barca 2. Jaen lost their fourth game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the tenth position with 11 games lost. Unicaja-Andalucia will meet league's leader Almeria on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Jaen will have a break next round.
