Very predictable result when fourth ranked CBSFDO (12-6) won against 10th ranked Cimbis (5-14) in San Fernando 74-66 on Saturday. It was an exceptional evening for center Diego Gallardo (198-1989) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. Center Arsenio Cordero (203-1995) accounted for 16 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. Carlos Goicoechea (-2003) came up with 21 points and 7 rebounds (perfect behind the arc making all five shots) and power forward Carlos Galan (201-2002) added 11 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Cimbis in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. CBSFDO maintains fourth place in Group D-B with 12-6 record. Cimbis lost their fourth game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the tenth position with 14 games lost. CBSFDO will meet Torta del Casar (#8) in the next round. Cimbis will play against the league's leader Corazon and hope to secure a win.
