Very important is a road loss of second ranked Adareva (15-4) against fourth ranked Unicaja (14-5) on Saturday night. Visiting Adareva was crushed by Unicaja in Malaga 83-64. It was a great shooting night for Unicaja especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.0 percentage. The best player for the winners was American guard Jaterra Bonds (170-1992, college: Florida) who scored 11 points and 5 assists. Power forward Veronica Matoso (185-1988) chipped in 13 points. Four Unicaja players scored in double figures. Unicaja's coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Julie Dacosta (-1999) who recorded a double-double by scoring 12 points and 14 rebounds and forward Alba Pena (176-1995) added 15 points and 5 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) respectively. The victory was the third consecutive win for Unicaja. They maintain fourth place with 14-5 record, which they share with Girona. Loser Adareva dropped to the third position with four games lost. Unicaja will meet De La Torre (#14) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Adareva will play against Cordoba (#6) and hope to secure a win.
