Second Stage Round 3: Kobrat - Kataja 85-58

There was a small surprise in Lapua where Kobrat (9-16) smashed Kataja (10-15) 85-58 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Kobrat. Kataja managed to win third quarter 25-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Kataja's 22. It was a great evening for American power forward Stokley Chaffee (204-1996, college: Tennessee St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 25 points and 7 rebounds. American-DR Congolese guard Christian Lutete (196-1996, college: UMass Lowell) helped adding 21 points. The best for the losing side was American Christopher McKnight (201-1987, college: Akron) with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import forward Rahlir Hollis-Jefferson (198-1991, college: Temple) scored 17 points and 7 rebounds. Kobrat will meet Korihait (#12) in the next round. Kataja will play against Lahti (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
