Regular Season Round 26: Spisski Rytieri - Handlova 113-75

Rather predictable result when fourth ranked Spisski Rytieri (13-11) rolled over 6th ranked Handlova (9-14) in Nova Ves 113-75 on Saturday. Spisski Rytieri shot 60.3 percent from the field. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American guard Mike Morsell (197-1996, college: Towson) notched 14 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the effort and Serbian forward Marko Stevanovic (203-1994) supported him with 18 points and 6 rebounds. Even 15 points and 9 rebounds by American forward Deandre Abram (203-1997, college: Milwaukee) did not help to save the game for Handlova. His fellow American import point guard Jordon Talley (185-1995, college: UNCW) added 14 points for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion maintains fourth position with 13-11 record. Handlova lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with 14 games lost. Spisski Rytieri will meet at home higher ranked Lucenec (#3) in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Handlova will play against the league's leader Levice and hope to secure a win.
