Regular Season Round 23: Girona B - Azulejos 77-55

Everything went according to plan when third ranked Girona B (13-4) outplayed at home 9th ranked Azulejos (6-12) 77-55 on Saturday. It was an exceptional evening for forward Eduard Garcia (198-1998) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. Point guard Adria Moncanut (183-2002) accounted for 9 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Center Francisco Monforte (204-1995) came up with 10 points and point guard David Martin (186-1999) added 9 points respectively for Azulejos in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Girona B. They moved-up to second place in Group C-3. Azulejos lost their third game in a row. They keep the ninth position with 12 games lost. Girona B will meet league's leader Barca 2 in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Azulejos will play against Sol Girones (#3) and hope to secure a win.
