Very expected game in Umea where 14th ranked Boras (5-18) were defeated by fifth ranked A3 Basket (14-8) 83-78. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Tiffany Brown (168-1986, college: Georgia South) who helped to win the game recording 24 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. The former international forward Abigail Asoro (183-1993, college: Iowa Western) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Four A3 Basket players scored in double figures. American center Rodjanae Wade (188-1998, college: UNLV) replied with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds and her fellow American import guard Brooke Johnson (183-1996, college: UNLV) added 24 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Boras. A3 Basket moved-up to fourth place. Newly promoted Boras stay at the bottom position with 18 games lost. A3 Basket will play against Sodertalje (#10) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Boras will play against Helsingborg (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
