Everything went according to plan when fifth ranked Valls (11-6) outplayed on the road 11th ranked Sant Cugat (4-14) 88-63 on Sunday. It was an exceptional evening for forward David Loras (204-2002) who led the winners and scored 22 points and 6 rebounds. Guard Jonathan Medina (185-1988) accounted for 17 points for the winning side. Daniel Busto came up with 16 points and 5 rebounds and Josep Crespo added 12 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Sant Cugat in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Valls maintains fifth place in Group C-1 with 11-6 record. Sant Cugat lost their eighth game in a row. They dropped to the tenth position with 14 games lost. They share it with UE Horta. Valls will meet at home Pinta Castell (#9) in the next round. Sant Cugat will play against Barbera in Barcelona and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
