Regular Season Round 22: Mestre - Olginate 84-70

Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked Mestre (14-7) defeated at home 14th ranked Olginate (6-16) 84-70 on Sunday. Mestre looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Naturalized Argentinian center Matias Bortolin (208-1993, agency: Interperformances) notched a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and Giulio Casagrande (197-1993) supported him with 17 points and 8 rebounds. Four Mestre players scored in double figures. Even 15 points and 6 rebounds by power forward Giacomo Maspero (204-1992) did not help to save the game for Olginate. Point guard Andrea Ambrosetti (184-1999) added 17 points for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Mestre maintains fourth position in B with 14-7 record. Loser Olginate keeps the fourteenth place with 16 games lost. Mestre will meet at home Bernareggio (#16) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Olginate will play against Monfalcone and hope to secure a win.
