There was a surprise result when thirteenth ranked Jesi (8-14) outplayed at home higher ranked Ancona (15-7) 82-60 on Sunday. Massimiliano Ferraro (198-1998) notched 18 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and swingman Mattia Magrini (190-1993) supported him with 18 points. Four Jesi players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 10 points and 11 rebounds by center Andrea Quarisa (204-1992, agency: SLN) did not help to save the game for Ancona. Guard Tommaso Minoli (187-1994, agency: SLN) added 11 points for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Jesi maintains thirteenth position in B with 8-14 record. Loser Ancona dropped to the third place with seven games lost. They share the position with San Vendemiano. Jesi will meet league's leader Roseto on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Ancona will play against RO Luiss and hope to secure a win.
