No shocking result in a game in Podgorica where third ranked Sutomore (12-5) smashed 10th ranked SC Derby 2 (3-13) 100-74 on Sunday. They outrebounded SC Derby 2 54-38 including a 42-27 advantage in defensive rebounds. Sutomore shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 51.5 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists comparing to just 18 passes made by SC Derby 2's players. Point guard Aleksa Mandic (184-1997) scored 17 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Danijel Djukovic (-1996) chipped in 10 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Four Sutomore players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was David Mirkovic (200-2006) with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and center Maruan Cicic (209-2006) scored 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sutomore maintains third position with 12-5 record having four points less than leader Pljevlja. SC Derby 2 lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the tenth place with 13 games lost. Sutomore will meet at home bottom-ranked Susanj (#12) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. SC Derby 2 will play against Montenegro and hope to secure a win.
