Another exciting game was played in San Sebastian between eighth ranked Acunsa GBC and 5th ranked Coruna where host Acunsa GBC (12-9) won against Coruna (13-10) 62-49. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Benjamin Simons (203-1991, college: Drake) who helped to win the game recording 10 points and 7 rebounds. Forward Ander Martinez (199-1995) contributed with 6 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Acunsa GBC's coach Lorenzo Encinas allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Senegalese center Atoumane Diagne (215-1998) replied with 6 points and 10 rebounds and American guard Zach Monaghan (188-1992, college: MSU) added 7 points and 4 assists in the effort for Coruna. Acunsa GBC moved-up to sixth place. Coruna at the other side keeps the fifth position with ten games lost. Acunsa GBC will play against Palma (#17) in S'Arenal in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Coruna will play at home against Huesca (#18) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
