Regular Season Round 21: Casablanca - Viladecans 44-64

Everything went according to plan in Zaragoza where first ranked Viladecans (18-3) outscored 5th ranked Casablanca (13-8) 64-44 on Sunday. Viladecans forced 21 Casablanca turnovers. The best player for the winners was Marta Guerrero (-1992) who scored 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Power forward Silvia Marcelo (188-1993) chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). At the other side the best for losing team was Cristina Villamor (-2001) who recorded 8 points and 6 rebounds and swingman Raquel Terrer (170-2000, college: NDSU) added 10 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the ninth consecutive win for Viladecans. They maintain first place with 18-3 record. Loser Casablanca keeps the fifth position with eight games lost. Viladecans will meet league's second-placed Segle XXI in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Casablanca will play against Lleida and hope to secure a win.
