Regular Season Round 23: Olivar - Barbera 87-68

There was no surprise when 12th ranked Barbera (3-14) was outleveled by fourth ranked Olivar (13-5) in Zaragoza 87-68 on Sunday. Olivar outrebounded Barbera 44-32 including a 15-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for Danish forward Gustav Knudsen (204-2003) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds. Center Aday Mara (220-2005) accounted for 7 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. Olivar's coach Jorge Serna allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Point guard Bernat Alvarez (176-1995) came up with 17 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists and center Hernan Olaguibe (203-1986) added 13 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Barbera in the defeat. Five Barbera players scored in double figures. Olivar moved-up to third place in Group C-1. Barbera lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the twelfth position with 14 games lost. Olivar will meet Castelldefels (#4) on the road in the next round. Barbera will play against Sant Cugat (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
