Everything went according to plan when twelfth ranked Varese (9-11) defeated at home bottom-ranked Cremona (5-14) 90-78 on Sunday. Varese looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Guard Tomas Woldetensae (196-1998, college: Virginia) nailed 21 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side and Lithuanian forward Paulius Sorokas (202-1992, agency: Players Group) accounted for 19 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Varese's coach Johan Roijakkers used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Senegalese-American center Malik Dime (206-1992, college: Washington) came up with 18 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and American forward Tres Tinkle (203-1996, college: Oregon St.) added 20 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) respectively for Cremona in the defeat.
