Regular Season Round 21: Pau-Lacq-Orthez - Le Portel 97-67

Rather expected game when 9th ranked Le Portel (10-10) was crushed on the road by sixth ranked Pau-Lacq-Orthez (13-6) 97-67 on Monday. Pau-Lacq-Orthez forced 24 Le Portel turnovers and outrebounded them 51-37 including a 26-12 advantage in offensive rebounds. Pau-Lacq-Orthez looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Le Portel's players. The best player for the winners was forward Enzo Shahrvin (201-2003) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds. Point guard Dorian Okemba (187-2002) chipped in 22 points and 5 assists. Pau-Lacq-Orthez's coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Antoine Sobczak (187-2002) who recorded 22 points and 8 assists and Cameron Valcy (192-2003) added 13 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Pau-Lacq-Orthez moved-up to fifth place. Loser Le Portel keeps the ninth position with ten games lost. Pau-Lacq-Orthez will meet Chalons-Reims (#7) on the road in the next round. Le Portel will play against Limoges CSP and hope to secure a win.
