An interesting game for Kouvot (17-9) which played road game in Helsinki against 4th ranked Seagulls (15-11). Second ranked Kouvot managed to get a 5-point victory 90-85. The guests trailed by 11 points after three quarters before their 35-19 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Kouvot made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Tray Boyd III (193-1998, college: ETSU) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 9 rebounds. Sudanese swingman Makuach Maluach (196-1998, college: N.Mexico) contributed with 14 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American guard Seth Allen (185-1994, college: Virginia Tech) replied with 25 points and 7 assists and his fellow American import Joe Lawson (201-1992, college: Indianapolis) added 22 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Seagulls. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Kouvot maintains second position with 17-9 record having just five point less than leader Kauhajoki. Seagulls lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with 11 games lost. They share the position with KTP Basket. Kouvot are looking forward to face league's leader Kauhajoki at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Seagulls will play against KTP Basket in Kotka and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
