There was a surprise result in Madrid where ninth ranked Real Canoe (9-10) beat 3rd placed Sant Antoni (14-8) 93-85 on Tuesday. Real Canoe made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was forward Gabriel Gil (200-2001) who had a double-double by scoring 13 points and 15 rebounds. Point guard Daniel de la Rua (181-1997) chipped in 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Aleix Haro (189-2001) who recorded 14 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and guard Lucas Antunez (191-1995, college: Toledo) added 15 points and 4 assists respectively. Five Real Canoe and four Sant Antoni players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Real Canoe maintains ninth place in Silver with 9-10 record. Newly promoted Sant Antoni dropped to the fourth position with eight games lost. Real Canoe will meet league's second-placed Albacete on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Sant Antoni will play against the league's second-placed Zornotza where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
