Regular Season Round 27: H.Ramat Gan - M.Haifa 85-81

An interesting game took place in Givataim where higher ranked M.Haifa (12-13) was upset on the court of twelfth ranked H.Ramat Gan (7-18) 85-81. H.Ramat Gan dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to M.Haifa's 32. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Demetrius Treadwell (201-1991, college: Akron) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 30 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field). Point guard Amit Ebo (180-1999) accounted for 10 points and 10 assists for the winning side. Four H.Ramat Gan players scored in double figures. American forward Steve Taylor Jr. (206-1993, college: Toledo) came up with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 14 rebounds and the other American import point guard Kwame Vaughn (190-1990, college: CS Fullerton) added 18 points and 8 assists respectively for M.Haifa in the defeat. Despite that victory H.Ramat Gan went down to thirteenth position due to points difference. M.Haifa lost their third game in a row. They keep the eighth place with 13 games lost. H.Ramat Gan will play against league's second-placed Hapoel H/M in Hevel Modi'in in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. M.Haifa will play at home against M.Raanana (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
