There was an upset when higher ranked Ragusa (13-8) was edged at home by twelfth ranked Broni (4-16) 74-71 on Tuesday. Broni made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. Broni outrebounded Ragusa 37-24 including 25 on the defensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for Dutch forward Laura Westerik (176-1998) who led the winners and scored 21 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Elena Bestagno (177-1991) accounted for 11 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists for the winning side.
