Regular Season Round 24: L'Alcora - Sueca 82-73

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both third ranked L'Alcora and 5th ranked Sueca had identical 3-3 record. This time L'Alcora used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Sueca 82-73 on Wednesday night. L'Alcora looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was forward Juan Robles (194-1996) who scored 21 points and 9 rebounds. Santiago Vazquez (-2003) chipped in 23 points and 7 rebounds (on 11-of-12 shooting from the field). At the other side the best for losing team was Joan Palacios (-1997) who recorded 34 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds and guard Carlos Gil (185-1993) added 16 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. L'Alcora maintains third position with 4-3 record having twenty seven points less than leader Corazon, which they share with 4 other teams. Newly promoted Sueca keeps the fifth place with four games lost. They share the position with Tabernes. L'Alcora will again meet Sueca (#5) on the road in the next round.
