The most exciting game of round 21 in the D1 took place in Reykjavik. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 3rd placed KR (12-7) to second ranked IR (16-3) 82-79 in the game for the second place. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of KR. The guests trailed by 1 point after three quarters before their 24-20 charge, which allowed them to win the game. It was a good game for Mexican forward Gladiana Avila (177-1994, agency: Jones Sports International) who led her team to a victory with 20 points and 6 rebounds. KR will play on the road against Thor AK in Akureyri and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
