Regular Season Round 22: Adareva - Cordoba 76-61

Everything went according to plan in Tenerife where third ranked Adareva (16-4) won against 7th ranked Cordoba (10-10) 76-61 on Saturday. Adareva dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Cordoba's 30. They outrebounded Cordoba 46-26 including a 33-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Forward Alba Pena (176-1995) scored 24 points and 6 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and Mali Fatoumata Fofana (-1996) chipped in 10 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. Four Adareva players scored in double figures. Adareva's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Senegalese forward Aya Traore (188-1983, college: Purdue) responded with 17 points and 5 rebounds and Hungarian power forward Zsofia Licskai (189-1993) scored 11 points and 7 rebounds. Adareva moved-up to second place in Group A. Newly promoted Cordoba keeps the seventh position with ten games lost. Adareva will meet GDKO Bizkaia (#13) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Cordoba will play against De La Torre (#14) and hope to secure a win.
