Not a big story in a game when 10th ranked AIK 2 (4-14) was outscored by seventh ranked RIG Lulea (9-9) in Solna 105-59 on Saturday. RIG Lulea dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to AIK 2's 26. RIG Lulea forced 27 AIK 2 turnovers and outrebounded them 44-18 including a 18-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by AIK 2's players. The winners were led by guard Felix Smedjeback (195-2004) who scored that evening 16 points and 7 rebounds and center William Berg (214-2003) supported him with 16 points and 8 rebounds. Five RIG Lulea players scored in double figures. Even 14 points by point guard Dante Toomson (175-2002) did not help to save the game for AIK 2. Michael Pelidis added 9 points and 4 steals for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. RIG Lulea have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain seventh position with 9-9 record. AIK 2 lost seventh consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the ninth place with 14 games lost. They share the position with KFUM Fry. 2. RIG Lulea will meet at home higher ranked Alvik (#6) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. AIK 2 will play against Akersberga in Stockholm and hope to secure a win.
