Regular Season Round 24: Roser - Tarragona 70-62

There was an upset when second-best Tarragona (14-5) was defeated on the road by seventh ranked Roser (9-10) 70-62 on Saturday. Roser dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Tarragona's 24. Roser forced 26 Tarragona turnovers. The best player for the winners was swingman Pau Isern (-2001) who scored 20 points. Forward Albert Sulleva (196-1989) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was center Ferran Torres (201-1988) who recorded 14 points and 6 rebounds and forward Victor Vinos (193-1997) added 13 points respectively. Tarragona's coach Bernardo Alvarez tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Roser moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Martinenc and CAM E.Soler 2. Loser Tarragona keeps the second position with five games lost. They share it with Alfinden. Roser will meet higher ranked Olivar (#4) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Tarragona will play against SESE and hope to secure a win and be promoted back to the LEB Silver just one year after relegation.
