Regular Season Round 25: Slask - Legia 78-91

Another exciting game was played in Wroclaw between seventh ranked Legia and 4th placed WKS Slask where Legia (14-10) won against WKS Slask (16-9) on the road 91-78. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of WKS Slask. They outrebounded WKS Slask 47-27 including 32 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Raymond Cowels III (191-1990, college: Santa Clara) who helped to win the game recording 26 points. His fellow American import guard Robert Johnson (192-1995, college: Indiana) contributed with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. The former international power forward Aleksander Dziewa (205-1997) answered with 27 points and 8 rebounds and American point guard Travis Trice II (183-1993, college: Michigan St.) added 23 points and 5 assists in the effort for WKS Slask. Four WKS Slask players scored in double figures. WKS Slask's coach tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Legia maintains seventh place with 14-10 record. WKS Slask at the other side dropped to the fifth position with nine games lost. Legia will play against league's second-placed Anwil in Wloclawek in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. WKS Slask will play on the road against Twarde Pierniki in Torun and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
