Everything went according to plan when ninth ranked Llucmajor (8-10) outscored at home 11th ranked Badalones (4-13) 80-52 on Saturday. Llucmajor dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Badalones' 30. Llucmajor forced 21 Badalones turnovers and outrebounded them 46-17 including a 18-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was power forward Jose Maria Morales (204-1989) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Luis Sanchez (189-1996) chipped in 11 points, 7 assists and 4 steals. Four Llucmajor players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was center Pol Barbecho (203-2002) who recorded 13 points and 5 rebounds and Samppa Maki added 11 points respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Llucmajor moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Badalones lost eighth consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Artes. Llucmajor will meet Maristes (#10) in the next round. Badalones will play against Alpicat and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
