There was no surprise when 15th ranked Tarnow (4-24) was outplayed on the road by ninth ranked Wisla Krakow (16-13) 100-56 on Saturday. Wisla Krakow dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Tarnow's 22. Wisla Krakow forced 20 Tarnow turnovers and outrebounded them 49-29 including 16 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Swingman Radoslaw Skubinski (190-2000) fired 23 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Forward Mateusz Nowacki (198-1999) chipped in 15 points and 8 rebounds. Five Wisla Krakow players scored in double figures. Point guard Dominik Niemczura (181-1989) produced 14 points and forward Dawid Szewczyk (193-1985) added 7 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Wisla Krakow have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain ninth position with 16-13 record. Newly promoted Tarnow keeps the fifteenth place with 24 games lost. Wisla Krakow will meet higher ranked Tarn.Gory (#4) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Tarnow will play against AZS PC (#12) and hope to secure a win.
