There was no surprise when 10th ranked Tampereen Pyrinto (1-24) was crushed at home by sixth ranked Espoo Team (14-10) 82-46 on Saturday. The game without a history. Espoo Team led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to Tampereen Pyrinto's 20. Espoo Team forced 24 Tampereen Pyrinto turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for American swingman Alyesha Lovett (183-1993, college: Cincinnati) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 18 rebounds. U.S. Virgin Islands guard Taylor Jones (173-1997, college: Oakland) helped adding 19 points and 9 rebounds. Four Espoo Team players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Evianna Sipila (181-1995) responded with 8 points and 14 rebounds and center Iina Keski-Saari (184-1997) scored 5 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Espoo Team maintains sixth place with 14-10 record. Tampereen Pyrinto lost their seventh game in a row. Newly promoted team stay dead last with 24 lost games. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
