Regular Season Round 24: Calpe - Aldaia 86-69

There was a small surprise when eighth ranked Calpe (2-5) won against at home 6th ranked Aldaia (2-5) 86-69 on Sunday. Calpe forced 21 Aldaia turnovers. The best player for the winners was Argentinian-Italian guard Juan Davini (185-1998) who scored 32 points and 7 rebounds. Seikhou Konte chipped in 13 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Carlos Hortelano (200-1996) who recorded a double-double by scoring 32 points, 17 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Ricardo Carrion (197-1991) added 10 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists respectively. Four Aldaia players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Calpe moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Aldaia. Calpe will meet at home higher ranked Molina (#4) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Aldaia will play against Godella in Valencia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
