Everything went according to plan in Helsinki where first ranked ToPo Juniorit (18-3) outscored 12th ranked MuKi (3-18) 115-59 on Sunday. The game without a history. ToPo Juniorit led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to MuKi's 22. They outrebounded MuKi 45-16 including a 38-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. ToPo Juniorit shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 57.1 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 40 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by MuKi's players. The best player for the winners was American center Tommy Hamilton IV (210-1994, college: Texas Tech) who had a double-double by scoring 30 points and 11 rebounds (on 13-of-16 shooting from the field). His fellow American import point guard Caleb Richey (178-1995, college: Cal Lutheran) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 assists. Four ToPo Juniorit players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Robin Avist (191-2000) who recorded 21 points and point guard Markus Rautasalo (180-2000) added 11 points and 5 assists respectively. ToPo Juniorit maintains first place in 1st Division with 18-3 record. Loser MuKi keeps the twelfth position with 18 games lost. ToPo Juniorit will meet at home Raiders Basket (#5) in the next round. MuKi will play against Jyvaskyla BA (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
