There was no surprise in Caceres where 8th ranked Torta del Casar (7-13) was defeated by fourth ranked CBSFDO (13-7) 79-70 on Sunday. CBSFDO shot 27 for 40 from the free-throw line, while Torta del Casar only scored two points from the stripe. CBSFDO had a 36-24 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was center Diego Gallardo (198-1989) who had a double-double by scoring 12 points and 16 rebounds. Forward Jesus Remesal (194-1995) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds. Five CBSFDO players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Eduardo Recio (188-2001) who recorded 15 points and Bosnian forward Eldar Zulcic (201-1998) added 13 points respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. CBSFDO maintains fourth position with 13-7 record. Loser Torta del Casar keeps the eighth place with 13 games lost. CBSFDO will meet at home league's leader Pozuelo in the next round and it may be the game of the week.
