The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Barca CBS (21-3) on the court of sixth ranked Estepona on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by Estepona 54-42. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Barca CBS. Montenegrin center Ana Pocek (190-1993) had a double-double by scoring 21 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners and power forward Jone Azkue (180-1995) chipped in 8 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Swingman Itziar Llobet (181-1993, college: Kent St.) responded with 14 points and point guard Alejandra Quirante (167-1992) scored 7 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Estepona maintains sixth position with 16-8 record. Barca CBS at the other side still keeps top place with three games lost. Estepona are looking forward to face Real Canoe (#10) in Madrid in the next round. Barca CBS will play at home against Joventut (#13) and is hoping to win this game.
