There was no surprise when 12th ranked Napoli (8-12) was defeated at home by tenth ranked Varese (10-11) 82-74 on Monday. Varese made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Guard Giovanni De Nicolao (191-1996, college: UTSA) fired 14 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Guard Tomas Woldetensae (196-1998, college: Virginia) chipped in 19 points (perfect from downtown making all five shots). Five Varese players scored in double figures. American forward Jordan Parks (201-1994, college: NCCU, agency: Inception Sports) produced 18 points and 6 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Markis McDuffie (203-1997, college: Wichita St.) added 15 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Varese have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Venezia and Brindisi. Napoli lost third consecutive game.
