The game between closely ranked teams ended with fourth ranked Bnei Hasharon's (11-7) home victory over 5th ranked Hapoel Tel-Aviv (10-9) in Hod Hasharon 74-63 on Monday. Bnei Hasharon forced 19 Hapoel Tel-Aviv turnovers. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Bnei Hasharon made 7 blocks. Even 23 points and 6 rebounds by Cameroonian-American forward JP Tokoto (200-1993, college: UNC) did not help to save the game for Hapoel Tel-Aviv. The former international guard Bar Timor (190-1992, agency: Avi Zilberman) added 10 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the guests. Four Hapoel Tel-Aviv players scored in double figures. Hapoel Tel-Aviv's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Bnei Hasharon moved-up to third place, which they share with Maccabi T-A. Loser Hapoel Tel-Aviv dropped to the sixth position with nine games lost. Bnei Hasharon will meet Hapoel Eilat (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Hapoel Tel-Aviv will play against Hapoel Haifa (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
