The game had a very big importance for fourth-ranked Cibona as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Cibona smashed 8th ranked Dubrava in Zagreb 100-68. Cibona shot the lights out from three sinking 20 long-distance shots on high 57.1 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Cibona made 10 blocks. It was a good game for Ivan Majcunic (193-1996) who led his team to a victory with 21 points (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). The former international point guard Kresimir Radovcic (195-1997) contributed with 11 points and 4 assists for the winners. Swingman Filip Bjelanovic (197-2002) replied with 13 points and 6 assists and guard Mateo Vidovic (193-1999, agency: PEPI SPORT) added 12 points and 5 assists in the effort for Dubrava. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Cibona (17-5) have an impressive six-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Split and Cedevita Jr. Dubrava at the other side keeps the eighth place with 15 games lost. They share the position with Alkar.
