There was no surprise when 7th ranked E.Netanya (12-13) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked E.Kiryat Ata (16-9) 89-84 on Tuesday. E.Kiryat Ata had a 32-20 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Amin Stevens (203-1990, college: FAMU, agency: BIG) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 31 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists and the other American import guard Kenney Funderburk (193-1992, college: Columbus St., agency: Mansfield and Associates) who added 17 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American center Justin Robinson (206-1996, college: Duke) responded with 19 points and 7 rebounds and guard Roy Paretsky (193-2002) scored 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Four E.Netanya players scored in double figures. E.Kiryat Ata maintains fifth position with 16-9 record. Loser E.Netanya dropped to the eighth place with 13 games lost. They share the position with E.Ashkelon. E.Kiryat Ata will meet at home H.Izrael (#12) in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
