Rather expected game in Lund where 13th ranked Boras (6-19) were defeated by tenth ranked IK Eos (9-16) 91-85 on Wednesday. IK Eos looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Doniyah Cliney (182-1996, college: S.Carolina) who helped to win the game recording 20 points, 9 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals and Danish forward Laura Ziegler (186-2002) who added 20 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. Four IK Eos players scored in double figures. IK Eos' coach Jan Hricko used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was American guard Brooke Johnson (183-1996, college: UNLV) with 29 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and her fellow American import center Rodjanae Wade (188-1998, college: UNLV) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds. IK Eos moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Uppsala. Newly promoted Boras dropped to the bottom position with 19 games lost. IK Eos will meet Sodertalje (#12) on the road in the next round. Boras will play against Visby Ladies and hope to secure a win.
