There was a surprise result when twelfth ranked Helsingborg (8-16) beat at home higher ranked Mark (11-14) 81-75 on Wednesday. Helsingborg dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Mark's 18. The game was dominated by American players. Worth to mention a great performance of center Kate Cain (196-1999, college: Nebraska, agency: LBM Management) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds and forward Japonica James (180, college: Troy) who added 14 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was guard Chanette Hicks (168-1997, college: Norfolk St.) with 21 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals and guard JKyra Brown (180, college: Virginia) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds. Five Helsingborg and four Mark players scored in double figures. Helsingborg moved-up to eleventh place. Mark lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with 14 games lost. They share it with Hogsbo. Helsingborg will meet higher ranked Uppsala (#10) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
